Summer Skincare Additions | Dove DermaSpa

I recently found in stores this new range from Dove, called DermaSpa, and immediately bought these two products. I looked at the other ones from the range as well, but these two were the ones that I felt like I needed/wanted the most. Now, I don't think these are actually completely new products, they probably just got new packaging (at least for the tanning lotion). I tried them for a few months now and thought I could give you a little review, in case you are contemplating getting them and are not sure if they're any good. I generally think Dove products are good ones, and so is the case with these particular items.

DermaSpa Summer Revived Tanning Lotion: I'm going to start by saying - this is one of the best tanning lotions that I have ever tried. I believe this is supposed to be a new formula of the Dove Summer Glow tanning lotion and that it should have a nicer scent than the old one. I'm gonna be honest, I don't really think that's true. It does have a nicer scent when you first apply it, but after a couple of hours it still smells like any other tanning lotion. I don't really mind it so much, but I know some people do. With that being said, I do really love the results that it gives and, so far, I haven't had any streaky applications. I would definitely recommend this if you're on the market for a new tanning lotion.

DermaSpa Goodness Body Lotion: This is a really nice lotion and I especially love using it after tanning or after sitting in the sun a bit. It doesn't really have sparkle or glitter in it (thankfully), but it does somehow give you a nice glow. It looks especially lovely once you get a bit of a tan going on. I like to apply this at nighttime and sometimes also in the morning, after I shower. The scent is really lovely, as is usually the case with Dove products. It's not a sticky formula at all, so all in all I have no complaints about this lotion. Plus, it looks really lovely on my vanity table - haha! :)

Have any of you tried these products? Let me know how you liked them!

Instagram Round-Up | May & June

If you spend a lot of time reading blogs, you probably noticed that a lot of bloggers do this type of Instagram roundup of their latest pictures posted. I personally really enjoy reading those posts and catching up on my favourite bloggers' instagrams for two reasons: one - I sometimes miss their IG posts, because I don't really have the time to scroll through them all day; two - the latest instagram update doesn't show all of their photos in your feed. I'm not entirely sure how the algorithm works, but some pictures just don't show up in your feed (even if I often "like" that person's photos). Anyways, I thought this would be a nice blogpost I could do once in a while, to catch you up on my latest instagrams, in case you're interested. I'll also try to describe a bit each picture, just so you know what I was up to. Hope you enjoy this series! By the way, my IG is: @madeline1f.

(first row)
1. Took a moment to relax, catching up on Orange Is the New Black and some bridal magazines.
2. Spent the afternoon completing some wedding tasks (preparing wedding invitations and all that).
3. Flowy summer outfit of the day (also featured in this post).

(second row)
4. Got an IKEA delivery and filmed a haul (which I have yet to put up on my youtube channel - *adds on to do list*).
5. Celebrating 7 years together with pizza and ice-cream. I cannot believe it's been so long... it feels like only yesterday we met in high-school.
6. Slowly getting my vanity together.

(third row)
7. Yellow tulips make me so happy!
8. Netflix and wine on a Sunday, relaxing before a busy week (watching Better Call Saul).
9. Lunch time: smoked salmon salad.

Let me know what you think of this type of post and if you'd like to see more.
Have a lovely day!

The One with the Black Zara Dress | What I Wore

Dress: Zara | Sandals: Deichmann | Bag: George at ASDA | Necklace: H&M | Bracelet: H&M

I just noticed that my previous outfit post was called: "The One with the White Zara Dress"...well, I guess today is the opposite - the one with the black Zara dress - ha! I went shopping a few weeks ago since most stores are currently having their huge summer sales and everything is so affordable. I didn't really get a lot of things, but I really liked this Zara dress. I wanted to have something simple and very wearable. Plus I think this will be a perfect dress to transition into fall - with some scarves and leather jackets. For today's outfit I pretty much went with an all-black combination, and I accessorized with some gold pieces. I love these wedge sandals from Deichmann, because they are extremely comfortable and they make me look a bit taller (which is always nice when you're so short - haha). The accessories that I'm wearing are from H&M, both the necklace and the bracelet. I wanted to link them, but I can't find them in their online store anymore - although I'm pretty sure you can still find the necklace in the actual shop. I wore this outfit whilst running some errands for our wedding - I can't believe it's less than 2 months away. I'm so excited! I don't really feel nervous about it yet, because we're doing pretty good with the planning and everything is pretty much done, aside from little details that you can only get done a few days before the wedding. Hopefully I'll keep feeling this way as it gets closer.

The One with the White Zara Dress | What I Wore

I'm baaack! I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I haven't posted anything during the past month. I was taking my final exams and preparing my dissertation for my master's degree, aside from work. So that pretty much took all my time and didn't get around to making new blog posts. But I'm happy to report that I've finished my master's degree and I'm pretty much done with school forever *sigh of relief*. I took the time this week to take multiple blog pictures and film some videos for my channel, because I really enjoy doing this and it's my favourite hobby. I'm going to try my hardest to stay on track and post as often as I can. I plan on doing some wedding-related posts as well, so if you have any suggestions or things you would like to see, let me know in the comments below.
Anyway - today's outfit is actually one that I wore this past weekend, whilst we did some wedding shopping - hence the white dress. My fiance says that I've never worn as much white as I do now. I tell myself it's because of the warm weather (and light colors are supposed to be better to wear than dark clothing), but let's be honest - it's probably the wedding fever - haha! :) I love this white dress that I got from Zara about two years ago, I believe. It fits nicely and I've been wearing it a lot more lately. I paired it with my H&M pink floral flat shoes and a dusty pink clutch that I got a long time ago. It's a pretty simple outfit, but that's how I like it, especially for summer time.
