If you've been following my blog for a while than you will already know how much I enjoy using the Rimmel foundations. I've tried and loved both the Match Perfection one and the Wake Me Up one. So when this new Lasting Finish 25 Hr came out, I decided to go ahead and give it a try as well. I believe the Lasting Finish actually was around for quite a while now, but they recently changed the formulation and this new one includes the "with Comfort Serum" in its name. For the purpose of this review, I also filmed a little video showing you how this applies and how I do the rest of my foundation routine for when I do a full face of makeup.
I got it in a shade a bit lighter than the other ones I have, mainly because it's winter and I'm really pale. The other ones still work alright if I blend them well down my neck, but for this one I went for the shade 103 True Ivory. The consistency of this foundation is a little bit thicker than the other ones I own from Rimmel and it's definitely a more full coverage type of foundation. I still find that it does not look cakey on the skin, provided it's not applied heavily. It covers really nicely and it does last all day long on my skin. The finish of it is not too matte, neither too dewy, so I would say it's a nice balance between those two. Just for reference, in case you were wondering, I have quite dry skin at the moment and it still works perfectly on me.
That's about it for this foundation. All in all, I really enjoy it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a really good full coverage drugstore foundation. If you'd like more details and demo on it, be sure to check out the video I did about it.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog!
