Makeup of the Day

I have not done one of these posts in what feels like forever, so I thought it would be fun to bring these back and post about the makeup of the day every once in a while. For today's makeup look, as most days actually, I go for a few trusty products and create a rather natural look. I love the Rimmel Match Perfection for a medium coverage, whilst still keeping a natural look to your face and not look too overdone. For the cheeks, I usually go for one of two options: either I do bronzer and a bit of highlighter, either blush and a bit of highlighter. I very rarely do both bronzer and blush at the same time for an everyday look. I don't know why that is, but I just feel like one of those is enough for everyday wear for me. My current choice (and has been for quite a while now, actually) is the Sleek Face Form Kit in Light. The highlighter in there is my absolute favourite.

Moving on to the eyes, I chose a few colours from the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette, in today's look I went for Dust in the inner part of the eye, Limit in the outer corner and Nooner in the crease, to define it a bit more. I did a simple line with a small flick at the end, using the Rimmel Scandaleyes Micro Precision Eyeliner, which is one of those pen-like applicators. For mascara I picked one of my favourites, the Yves Rocher Sexy Pulp one - really great for lengthening and giving more volume.
For lips I went for a simple moisturizer with a hint of pink, the Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose. That's about it for today's makeup look!

What makeup products do you usually go for?

  2. your makeup always looks so natural and pretty! just wondering more about the Rimmel Match Perfection... not sure of your skin type but do you think it'd hold up for oily skin? I have that problem and I'm always looking to try something that might work. Thanks!

    1. My skin type is more on the dry side, so I'm not too sure how it will hold up for you. I will say though - the foundation does not get oily at all on me.
