DIY Room Decor for Fall | Easy Ideas

I am one of those people who absolutely have to change bits and bobs around my room whenever the season changes, so I filmed a part of the process this year and put it into a DIY video for fall. If you are anything like me, I'm sure you'll enjoy taking the time to spice up your room this fall. Have a look and let me know what you think!

What is your favourite season? How do you prepare your home for fall?

Embellished Sleeves

Top: Zara  |  Pants: New Yorker  |  Shoes: Stradivarius  |  Clutch: local boutique

I recently got this Zara blouse with embellished cuffs from their sale section, it was one of their last ones, which probably means it's not going to be around for a lot longer. I picked it immediately because it looks so unique, nothing like I've ever owned, plus I needed a new white blouse. I think this outfit is really nice for a date night, since it's paired with some nude heels. I really love wearing this shirt and I'm sure it will become a staple in my wardrobe. You can never go wrong with a black & white combination, together with a bit of pastel color on the accessories. The pearl earrings were the most appropriate for this look, in my opinion, since it's more on the elegant, classy side.

Hope you enjoyed this! Thank you for taking the time to read my blog!

A Bit of Gray Along the Way

Cardigan: local boutique (similar)  |  Jeggings: New Look  |  Necklace: H&M  |  Bracelet: Bornprettystore*

For today's Friday outfit I went for something extremely comfortable, a good outfit for running errands or going around town. The leggings I'm wearing are some of my favourite, but I always like wearing them with something a bit longer on top, so that it covers nicely, which is why I went for this big gray cardigan which I have from a local store in town. I kept it extra simple with accessories, just wearing two of my favourite pieces at the moment: an H&M gold bar necklace (which I actually got a few days ago, after searching for one for the longest time) and a simple gold bracelet.

Thanks for reading my blog!
It's almost the weekend, woohoo! Hope you have a great one!

Biker Leather Jacket

jacket: local  |  top: H&M  |  jeans: New Yorker  |  boots: Deichmann

A leather jacket is one of those items that has constantly been on my fashion wishlist, but didn't really find one that would fit me right - and not make a whole in my wallet. This one I got from a local boutique and I love it so much, I can already tell I'll be making great use of  it this fall and winter season. My favourite way to pair it is with quite a simple outfit, like the one in this post. I went for simple skinny jeans and a grey t-shirt, pairing the whole thing with my new brown ankle boots. Wearing comfortable boots but with a little bit of heel (cause I'm not the tallest girl in the world) is my go-to type for all-seasons. I can never purchase and wear too often high-heeled boots - I know myself and when I'm off to uni or work, I'll always opt for the comfier option, so these are perfect for me.

Hope you enjoyed this! Thank you for taking the time to read my blog!

The Boots

As some of you may know, if you've been reading this blog for a while now, I have had a life-long search (ok, a little bit of exaggeration here)  for the perfect pair of brown leather ankle booties. I am happy to announce that the search is over. This past weekend I was strolling through Deichmann (a.k.a. my favourite shoe store ever) and found these lovely boots, which are the perfect height, the heel is not too high, so I can actually wear these to uni or work, plus they are sooo adorable.

Now most of the times when I find a pair like this, which was also not too expensive for a pair of good boots ($35), they never have my size, since I have really small feet. Amazingly enough, they had these in my size and, even though they were not on my shopping list at the time, I decided to purchase them because I'm not sure if I'll find another good pair like this for this price. It's funny how I almost always find the things I really want when I'm not actually looking for them intensively. Therefore, I can now state that I am ready for fall!

What are your fall must haves? What's your favorite type of boot?

Stripes & Army Jacket

striped top : Takko  |  jeans: New Yorker |  shoes: New look  |  necklace: Bornprettystore*

My first Friday outfit post is here and I am really happy that a lot of you were excited for more outfit posts, as some of you mentioned in the comments of my last outfit. I am really happy to be following this schedule now! As you might have noticed from my recent outfit posts, I have been experimenting taking my outfit pictures on a white background (now that I moved, I have a big white empty wall for that). I am quite interested to know what you feel about it, if you prefer this or some outside landscape. I am thinking I'll probably alternate between these two settings, but I'd like to know your opinion as well.

For this outfit I picked a basic navy and white outfit (with the striped top & jeans) and paired it with an army green vest jacket, which I feel like it gives a whole different look than the plain outfit it would be otherwise. The weather here is quite on the fence - not too cold, not too hot - but I feel like it's going to get quite chilly pretty soon, so I'm getting my transitional pieces ready for fall time. Fall fashion is always the most exciting to me.

What do you think of my transitional outfit for fall season? What is your favorite season when it comes to fashion?

Faux Leather

shirt: H&M  ||  faux leather leggings: New Look  ||  necklace: Bornprettystore*  ||  shoes: Stradivarius (similar)

In today's outfit post I have a bit of an announcement to do, but first about the actual outfit: I think this is outfit is a good combination for when you're on your way to a night out, a date night or some sort of outing like that. I don't wear leather leggings (faux leather, actually) too often, but when I do, it's always at night time. And I like to combine them with something a little bit more semi-casual on top, so I went for a simple white shirt and a textured grey blazer, which I think is not too formal - to the point where you look overdressed. For accessories I kept it simple with some similar toned shoes & purse - neutral, nude is never a fail with any outfit.

As for the announcement, I have decided in what direction I want my blog to go. Since I first started this because I love fashion and I wanted to have an outlet where I can share some of my outfits and look back on them in the future, I decided to feature more outfits than I currently am. Therefore, every Wednesday & Friday, there will be a new outfit post up. Wednesday will remain a link-up type of post, and Friday will just be a regular outfit post. What do you all think of this plan of mine?

Hope you enjoyed this! Thank you for taking the time to read my blog!

Ikea Bits

Everything I got in the pictured order:
 Ikea Gurli Throw
Ikea Soare Placemat
Ikea Dinera Mugs
Ikea Spice Jars
 Ikea Creme Armchair

I've actually never been to Ikea before, but I have browsed their online store for hours before, so that counts a bit too, right?! Haha! I wish we had an Ikea near us, because the only one in our country right now is quite far away. But since we passed near it on our way to the seaside, we decided to have a little pit stop there on the way home. We mainly wanted to get two armchairs for the new apartment we live in, but we saved some extra for bits that I knew would go great with the apartment and that I couldn't pass for the world.

You can basically see above everything that I picked, from kitchen accessories (the cute placemats and my new favorite coffee mugs) to bathroom storage baskets, to random home bits (candles, of course!). I also picked the corkboard for my desk/office, which I still have to put up on the wall - but I love that it has a white frame and clear pins, cause it looks a lot more neat. The throws that I got are for a little sofa that I wanted to cover up a bit. Oh, and the pillow in those pictures is not from Ikea, it's actually made by my grandmother. I need to get some more pillows to go with that soon.

What is your favorite home ware/decor store?

The Vacation Post

This post is not another vacation outfit one, just some random photos and bits I thought I'd share from my vacation. We stayed at a lovely hotel with beautiful gardens, which was close to the beach. I cannot emphasize enough how excited I get whenever I go to the beach - I think it's because I have such great memories going there with my family when I was little, that it just makes me feel amazing everytime I'm near the sea. The first time I spot the sea from the car I cannot help myself - I squeal every single time. My boyfriend is always so amused by this.

In these first pictures we were having breakfast - which was my favorite meal of the day. The coffee there was really good and you all probably know how much that means to me - hehe (hence my blog name in case you're new around here).

We spent most of our days there chilling by the hotel pool or on the beach, under those lovely straw umbrellas - which are my favorite kind. I got to swim for the first time in a really long time, got a bit of tan going on and just relaxed. We actually haven't been on a vacation like this in almost 4 years, which is way too long if you ask me. Hopefully we'll get to do something like this every summer from now on. For me it's just the perfect way to unwind and recharge your batteries.

The hotel we stayed at was actually on a lake as well, which was so amazing, especially at night-time, so I just had to post a picture of it. Credit goes to my boyfriend though, because he's the one who always takes the time to take pictures like this.

I also got a new swimsuit whilst there, because I just fell in love with this pattern, so I had to have it once I saw it in a boutique on the beach. I love that it has no straps, so you don't get too many tan lines afterwards.

That is pretty much a quick sum up of our vacation. On our way home, we also stopped at an Ikea store (so exciting!) and we got quite a lot of stuff, so get ready for a post about that tomorrow. Hope you enjoyed this!

How did you spend your summer and what's you favorite vacation destination?
