Blogging Tips: New favorite photo editor

I am not sure if this "Blogging Tips" type of posts is gonna become a regular series, but I am going to use it to share with you any new blogging tips, tricks or ideas I discover, because I believe we should help each other as bloggers - *insert big group hug here*.

Now onto the tip of today: it might not be a new thing to some of you, but I had no idea this photo editor existed and, to be honest, it's going to make your life so much easier. I used to use the Picasa editor, which you might have seen in my Blog Photography series. Now don't get me wrong, I do still like Picasa - BUT, and there's a big but, I started to have problems with it saving the changes I made to the photo. For example, I would make it brighter (adjust the exposure on the pic) and it would not appear after I saved it. So I asked my brilliant programmer boyfriend about it and he said it's because Picasa only operates with .JPG pics, which sometimes can be a little fussy and that I needed to use something with .PNG to make it work.

After searching high and low for a different editor, I finally found PicMonkey. It is truly amazing! You can pretty much do all the things you do in Picasa when it comes to photo editing. I also love the fact that they have cute add-ons you can place, such as little banners, VERY cute text fonts, and many more things. Before you start wondering, no - I'm not affiliated or anything, you don't even have to pay to use this program. Actually, you don't even need to create an account - you simply upload your photo and then download the edited one. It's super simple and has very lovely features!

Alright, that is all I had to say about this editor. What photo editor are you currently using? Have you ever tried PicMonkey?
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog!

xoxo,
Madeline

  1. I love using Picmonkey, I don't know where I would be without it. Why pay money for photoshop when you can use something for free ;)
