Testing drugstore goodies | Saturday I'm Loving

Another Saturday entails a new "things I'm loving" post and I thought for this one I would show you a few of the new drugstore goodies I tried out and what I thought of them. And also let's not forget about the randomness at the end of the post - these are just some of the things that make me happy, so why not share them with the world?!

The first thing I picked is this Dove Essential Nourishment hand cream. I have been looking for a good hand cream for a while now and, to be honest, the other ones I have tried kinda disappointed me. It's not like I have super-high expectations, but I just cannot appreciate a hand cream that makes my hands sticky and takes forever to dry - which forces me to do nothing for the next 30 minutes or so. With this Dove one, I finally found what I was looking for. It is very moisturizing, but at the same time it is not incredibly heavy. It dries up immediately if you apply a thin layer; I do apply a thicker one at night, which takes about 5 minutes to completely soak in - but I'm fine with that. The result is so satisfying - your hands feel amazingly soft and nourished. Oh, and when you add the price of it into discussion, needless to say - it's my new must-have!

Not too long ago I noticed this Skinlite brand in my local DM store and thought I would give it a go. They have tons of different face masks and I picked three to test out. I think the packaging of these looks really cute and I'm definitely going back for more as they are so affordable and gave nice results. The first one I tried is the Intensive Vitamin Complex Masque, which is nice because it also comes with and exfoliant to use beforehand. This made my skin feel more nourished and look brighter, more glowy. And then the Re-Energizing Green Tea Masque I feel like it's more to give you that pick-me-up your skin might need, it feels refreshing on the skin and cleanses it nicely. I love to use masks like these on weekends to pamper my skin and revitalize it.

The Tea Tree Deep Cleansing Peel-off Mask comes in two pouches, so you can use this twice. I got this for cleansing thoroughly when I have some acne or annoying pimples. I feel like it cleanses very well and I love the fact that the peel-off layer comes off smoothly, so you don't have to struggle with removing it. I want to purchase a tea tree oil or treatment to apply on spots only, but I didn't find one yet that caught my attention. Let me know in the comments if you have one and how it works for you!

Lastly, I have two random things to share with you that I've been thoroughly enjoying in the past week. One of them is the new set-up in my living room with fresh tulips and a white candle - this just screams spring to me and, to be honest, I cannot wait for spring to actually be here. Another thing is, of course, my delightful Saturday coffee, which I enjoy in the lazy mornings.

I hope you enjoyed reading this edition of Saturday I'm Loving and I wanted to quickly say that you can look forward to an Yves Rocher haul and review, because I am getting my order from them pretty soon and am super excited to share it all with you. So keep your eyes peeled for that!

What are some of the things you've been loving this past week?
Did you get any new drugstore goodies this week?

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog!

  2. I've ordered my tea tree oil off of Amazon! Love it, it doesn't fade my dark marks, but it helps the pimples not be as dark when they heal
