The Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation has been raved and raved about in the beauty world, which is what determined me to give it a try myself, to see what all the fuss is about. Since I truly loved the foundation, I also decided to get the concealer and highlighter from the same line. So if you are interested to know which of these products are worth the hype and whether I would recommend them (plus swatches), then just keep on reading.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation (in 200, Light Beige)
This is without a doubt one of the best drugstore foundations I have tried so far. It is supposed to have an anti-fatigue effect and make your skin look luminous, glowy and really awake. I have to highly agree with all of these! It really gives that pick-me-up that your skin might need in the morning. It has a very, very slight shimmer through it, which I think is what gives your skin that illuminated look. I think this foundation is perfect for dry skin, because it does not cling to your dry patches, however I'm not too sure how it would work on oily skin. I do have a little bit more oily T-zone and chin, and this behaves amazingly on those areas too. Another thing I love about this is the packaging: the pump makes it super easy to use, plus it is more hygenic because you don't have to put your fingers inside the product to get it out. As for the coverage, I would say it is a light to medium coverage. It does cover pretty well redness, but I use a concealer to fully cover any spots or acne. All in all, it is an amazing foundation which I will repurchase for sure.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer (in 010, Ivory)
I bought the concealer in a slightly lighter shade than the foundation, just because I want it to highlight my undereye area and give more glow to my face. I think it covers spots very nicely and it is a perfect combo with the foundation. I love these two for a flawless complexion. It lasts well through-out the day, as the foundation does too. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this concealer, and I believe it will become a staple in my makeup collection as well.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch (in 004, Shimmering Sand)
This is my least favorite product from this collection, even though it does it's job decently too. It has shimmer through it, which gives a nice glow if not applied abundantly. I like to use this on top of my cheeks and under my eyebrows, and it does give a nice glow to your face. I would say it is an ok product, but I am still on the look for that perfect drugstore highlighter.
As a wrap-up, I believe this collection totally deserves its acclaims and it truly is worth the hype. If you are on the look for a good drugstore foundation or concealer, definitely give these a try. Let me know if you have used any of these products and what your thoughts are on them.
