Hairstyling: 3 Easy & Quick Braided Hairstyles

Here I am, keeping up with my schedule, even though I'm currently taking exams. I've got three more to go and then I can relax and concentrate more on my blogging and my youtube channel. Firstly, I wanted to thank all of you who sent me messages and comments wishing me good luck! I appreciate it so much :)

For today's post I was super excited to share with you my three go-to hairstyles when it comes to braids. So, for all of these you're gonna need to know how to make a simple French braid - that being the base for all of them. I'm gonna quickly mention the steps for achieving these, but if you feel like you could use some extra tips or directions, you can check out my VIDEO on this, which I think will make it easier to understand. Here we go!

Hairstyle no.1

Step 1:  Grab all of your hair to one side (whichever you prefer).

Step 2: Pick a small strand of hair from that side (or two, or more if you'd like to) and braid it into a small French braid.

Step 3: Braid the whole of your hair on that side, including the small braid you previously made. And make sure that the small braids stays somehow on the "surface" of the big braid, so that you can see it. And there you have your braidception!

Step 4: This is optional, but you can pin any hair fallout from the back, for a neater look.

Hairstyle no.2

Step 1: Split your hair into three almost equal parts (btw, you can backcomb beforehand if you want more volume).

Step 2: Grab the middle part (in the back) and braid it normally into a French braid. Then twist it around itself, making a small bun out of it (as pictured above). Tuck the ends so you can't see them, and then secure it with bobby pins.

Step 3: Repeat this step for the other two part of hair (left and right) and pin them closely to the one in the middle. And...taaddaaa! You have a cute braided bun in the back!

Hairstyle no.3

Step 1: Grab all of your hair into a high ponytail and tie it nicely.

Step 2: Pick a small/medium sized section of hair and French braid it.

Step 3: With the rest of your hair make a messy bun (you can even use a socket to make a neat looking one) - and make sure to leave the small braid out of it.

Step 4: Tie the braid around the bun and pin it in the back. That's it!

Those are my ideas for easy braided hairstyles. I don't claim to be the one who came up with these, cause I'm pretty sure there are tons of similar hairstyles, but I just thought I'd show you how I like to do these. :)
Hope you enjoyed this, and make sure to check out my Youtube channel, as I post new videos every week!
Thanks for taking the time to read this!

  1. I'm a total sucker for braids of all types - I love all 3 of these! I want to try the 3-braid bun, hoping my hair isn't too thick for it!
